Videography. The neglected step-sister in weddings.
Why do I call it the neglected step-sister? Well, think about it. Venue {must}, Photographer {must}, Florist {must}, Band/DJ {must}, Caterer {must}. By the time brides get to the end of their lists of vendors to hire, somehow, videographers fall to the wayside.
While professional videography isn't in everyone's budget, I highly encourage brides to check out your local colleges, film schools or even high schools! You'd be amazed at the talent that is right in front of your face (ready to charge next to nothing, just for experience). If all else fails, ask Uncle Ned if he'd act as your videographer!
Yes, pictures are forever, but as quickly as your day will fly by-believe me-you'll want to recapture and re-live each and every moment over & over & what a better way than watching your wedding day in the comfort of your home? Then again, I love videography...I think it's amazing to watch a love-story unfold on TV. {Have I mentioned I love, love?}
Here are two of my favorite wedding videos from one of my favorite videographers, StillMotion:
maui + marie + mike // a trailer from stillmotion on Vimeo.
the triple threat sde // parts one and two from stillmotion on Vimeo.
